If you have the minimum supported browser version installed based on the information provided from the link above, please continue to use the steps for your browser below to reset your browser. Please be sure after doing each of these to close all programs and reboot your computer before attempting to access Blackboard Learn.

When you export tests from Blackboard Learn to a Mac computer using OS, the zip files will be automatically opened and unzipped. The Safari browser has a setting that you can enable or disable to prevent files from opening after they have been downloaded.
Step 1. Bring up Safari’s Preferences Menu: click on Safari in the main menu, located in the top left hand corner of your screen. When the drop-down list appear, choose Preferences.
Step 2. Select “General” from the Preferences Menu.
Step 3. Select a folder for your downloaded files to be saved to. The default folder is Downloads.
Step 4. Remove the check mark from the box Open “safe” files after downloading.
Step 1: Locate the “Browser Test” module on the “My Institution” page
Step 2: Click “Test your Browser”
Step 3: Make sure all the necessary components have a green “check mark”
Step 4: If a component has a red “X” follow up with additional support
Step 5: Click “Display an Alert”
Step 6: Click on “Display a Pop-up” . If a pop-up does not appear, disable pop-up blocker
Step 7: Download each of the documents in Blackboard to see if they open . If they do not open, a plug-in is necessary

Step 8: Click on “Other Tests” for additional testing
Step 9: Click on “Audio and Video Tests” for different types of media files seen within a course
Step 10: Click on “Visual Text Box Editor”
Step 11: Check the functionality of the visual text box editor to ensure everything works
Step 12: Enter text in the text box
Step 13: Click “Submit”
Step 14: If this information does not appear a problem may have occurred, contact the help desk to get support with the Blackboard Learn system
