You may disable the notification settings for all or selected courses you are enrolled in.

Step 1. Click on the Global Navigation Menu and select Settings:

Step 2. Select Edit Notification Settings:

Step 3. Under Bulk Edit Notification Settings, select Courses I am taking.

Step 4. Click on the radio button to select all courses you are taking:

This option allows you to change the notification settings for all of your courses at once. You can select which notification types you want to receive and the method of delivery.

Step 5. Under Email, uncheck the email notification messages for items you do not wish to receive notifications.

Please note: By disabling all notifications you may not be alerted when your instructor makes changes to the course content, including the availability and due dates of assignment and assessments.

Step 6. Under Settings, remove the check mark for any notification that you do not wish to receive:

Step 7. Click on the Submit button.

Use the Send Email Tool

Step 1: Log in to Blackboard

Step 2: Select your course from the “My Courses” module in the center of the page

Step 3: Click on “Send Email” from the left hand course navigation   Send Email option on left hand navigation

Step 4: Select the appropriate list of user(s) All Users email option

Step 5: Enter subject and message

Step 6: Click on the Submit button

 

Hide Links on the Course Navigation Menu from Students

Step 1: Hover over a link in the left hand course navigation menu

Step 2: Click on the action link item that appears to the right of the link Graphic of action link item

Step 3: Select “Hide from Users” Hide Link option

Step 2: Select “Tool Link”

Step 3: Give the tool a name

Step 4: Click on the drop down menu and select “Announcements”

Step 3: Give the tool a name

Step 4: Click on the drop down menu and select “Discussion Board”

Step 1: Go to the “Course Navigation Menu”

Step 7: Hover to the left of the content area link, click on the four arrows that will appear, and drag this new content area to where it should go on the “Course Navigation Menu”.

Step 1: Login to Blackboard Learn.

Step 2: Go to the “My Institution” page.

First Way to Navigate Courses

Step 1: Locate the “My Courses” module.

Step 2: Find the course list.

Step 3: Hover and select a course.

Second Way to Navigate Courses

Step 1: Locate the “Global Navigation Menu”. Global navigation menu button

Step 2: Click the “drop down arrow” to see courses listed here. Down arrow

Step 1: Click “Content” to see course content. Content button

Step 2: Click “Home Page” to return to home page. Home page button

OR

Click on the “house” icon to return to the home page. House button

Step 3: Click “Announcements” to see announcements. Announcements button

Step 4: Click the course menu title to expand and contract the “Course Navigation Menu”.

Course-to-Course Navigation

Course-to-course navigation is unique; when in a discussion board in one course and use the course-to-course navigation to select another course, it will take you to the discussion board in the new course selected.

Step 1: Locate house in the upper left course of your course. Course to course home button

Step 2: Click on the “drop down arrow” to select which course you want to navigate to. Dropdown arrow
