Note:  If your course is usually cross-listed in Banner to create a single course for multiple CRN’s, please be sure to check with your department’s Banner Class schedule person to ensure that the courses are indeed cross-listed in BANNER before beginning the activation steps outlined below.  Note:  You may not see all the “child” sections of your crosslisted course when activating, if you do not see them, the department that the course belongs to has not yet added you as the instructor of record to that course.

Please note, if your course is copying from a “mandatory” course template and is not currently available to you, please inquire with the course coordinator within the department that is the master designer for the course about the availability of your course section.

 

Course Activation Steps:

Step 1: Go to http://www.msudenver.edu/facstaff and click on the link titled “Activate Your Class in Blackboard Learn” OR you may access that link directly by clicking HERE

Step 2: Login with your MSU Denver NetID.  Your MSU Denver NetID is anything before the @ in your MSU Denver email address. For example, if your email address is afaculty@msudenver.edu your MSU Denver NetID would be afaculty.

Step 3: Click on the “Set Up (Activate) Your Blackboard Learn Course” link for the semester and year you wish to activate your course for.

Step 4: Read the directions and select a course to migrate content into from the drop-down menu

Step 5: Click on the “Submit” button Submit Button

Step 6: Select a course to copy content from in the drop-down menu

Step 7: Click on the “Submit” button

Step 8: Verify your course selections and click on the “Submit” button to complete your request.  Requests can take up to 24-72 hours to complete depending how many are in the system queue.
