Alt Text 

Alt text is essential when using a screen reader. This text allows images to be read to the user. 

When creating alt text keep these guidelines in mind:

First, close your eyes and describe the image to the best of your ability.

Try to keep descriptions to 125 characters maximum.

One concise sentence makes it easier for the user to stay engaged. 

If the image is decorative, described in accompanying text, or includes a caption, no alt text is necessary.
