Students who graduate with a major in Applied Geology, Environmental Science, Geography, Geospatial Sciences and Meteorology are highly skilled and knowledgeable in their field. They gain employment in the field after graduation due to the quality and diversity of their skills, or go on to successfully continue their educational journey at a graduate school. As learning facilitators, the faculty are teachers who promote active learning in the classroom, advise students towards their career goals, and participate in scholarly activities that keep them abreast of the most recent scholarship in their field.
The EAS department’s main office is in the Science building room 2028. The professor’s offices are located near the main office. Down the hall are several of our classrooms, wet labs, geology labs, GIS computer labs, and the meteorology computer lab. Our labs have a variety of state of the art software and instrumentation used for coursework and undergraduate research.
