They provide accurate billing statements and can explain unknown fees, holds, or other concerns about money owed. When your student receives a bill from the university for tuition, the Bursar\u2019s Office generated that bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes time to pay that bill, your student will provide the money to the Cashiering Office, another part of the Bursar\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important Dates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tuition is due the Friday before the start of the semester.&nbsp;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full payment of tuition and fees is due by the payment deadline to avoid service charges. Any unpaid balance after 5 PM will incur a 4% service charge.&nbsp; This first service charge will be waived if you enroll in a payment plan by the payment deadline. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students who get a financial aid award offer, obtain certification for Military benefits with our Veteran &amp; Military Student Services Office, or establish sponsorship, by the payment deadline, are exempt from all service charges.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Payment Options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are a few ways students can pay tuition and fees.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pay in full <\/strong>\u2013 Pay in full by the payment deadline and avoid all service charges.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Payment Plan<\/strong> \u2013 MSU Denver offers convenient payment plan options for a one-time $35 enrollment fee. The 4% fee will be waived for students who enroll in a payment plan, however, students are still subject to the monthly service charges of 1.5% throughout the semester, until the balance is paid in full. For more information, please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msudenver.edu\/bursar\/payment-plans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Bursar&#8217;s Office site.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pay as you go<\/strong> \u2013 You may choose to pay throughout the semester on your own, however, in addition to the 4% service charge, any unpaid balance will be subject to a 1.5% service charge on the 7th working day of each month. A Balance Due Hold will be placed on the student\u2019s account until resolved.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Things to Note<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"1\">\n<li>The Cashiers Office only takes Check, Money Order, Cashier\u2019s Check, 529 Plan Check in person.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For online payment, students\/family should add a bank account to avoid processing fees that come with using a debit or credit card directly.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students with at least $1 of financial aid offered on their account for the semester are not charged any service fees for that semester.
