Providing students contact with both types of culture from the target culture(s) can be a first step toward developing cross-cultural competence.(see Teacher Prep 1.1) \u00a0The ACTFL Guidelines use the terms Products, Practices and Perspectives.\u00a0 (See Teacher Prep 1.2)<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>While seeing examples of \u201cBig C\u201d and \u201clittle c\u201d culture and &#8220;Products, Practices and Perspectives&#8221;, students are asked to distinguish between them using the target language<strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Following this, students may be asked to compare the Big C and little c products and practices in the target culture (that they have just seen) and similar categories of products and practices in their home cultures)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Activity 1.3 This questionnaire is to be done to provide instructor with a baseline.\u00a0 It is also designed to prompt students to begin thinking about areas of inquiry.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/sites.msudenver.edu\/languageandculture\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/485\/2022\/09\/Le-Maroc-\u2013-que-sais-je_.pdf\">Le Maroc \u2013 que sais-je_<\/a>( pre- and post-assessment)<\/p>\n<p>Homework: (Questions to guide reading of pp. 15 &#8211; 30 of\u00a0 <em>Evidences invisibles)\u00a0 <\/em>This is to be prepared for Day 2 of the Module.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/sites.msudenver.edu\/languageandculture\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/485\/2022\/09\/Questions-R.-Carroll-Analyse-culturelle.pdf\">Questions R.
