Rules
.2019 Achievement Day Participants are not required to present pieces by memory.
. 2019 Denver International Piano Competition contestants in Category B, C and D are required to perform the competition by memory.
. Piano Duos are welcome to participate in Achievement Day, however the Denver International Competition will be not open for piano duo entrants this year.
. Winners must be present at 2019 Denver International Piano Competition Winner’s Concerts, which will be at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, April 7th, Recital Hall, King Center, Auraria Campus, Denver CO.
. Selected winners must participate in the Masterclass with MSU Denver Piano Faculty, at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 7th, Recital Hall, King Center, Auraria Campus, Denver CO.
. Registration fee should be paid in full before participating in the events. Registration table will be present in the main lobby of King Center the day of the event. Registration fee can be paid by mail, or at the desk.
. For Denver International Piano Competition, it is adjudicators’ discretion to decide not to select a winner, when none of the competitors performed could exhibit the level of expectancy.
. We welcome teachers, parents and friends for Achievement Day performance, yet the participant can decide to open the performance to public. Entire competition in all levels will be open to public.
. Video recordings of the Denver International Piano Competition are property of MSU Denver Music Department. Clips of any competition participant’s performances can be used for future promotion/ professional presentation.
Prizes
Each Category will have the First Prize Winners and Second Prize Winners, and an Honorable Mentions.
Winners of each category will be featured in Winner’s Concert on Sunday, April 7th in Recital Hall, King Center.
