How about going to grad school, or entering the job market? And what is all this talk about \u2019networking\u2019 anyway? Come to our interactive professional development panel where current graduate students and faculty will answer questions about getting involved in research, applying to graduate school, developing compelling application materials, and designing research projects that are both interesting and feasible. Panelists will also share perspectives on the transition from undergraduate to graduate-level work and discuss how experiences like RMBAA can help students build skills, confidence, and professional networks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">As RMBAA celebrates its 5th anniversary, this session will also reflect on the role undergraduate conferences can play in shaping academic futures, and we want to hear your ideas. Pizza will be provided for all workshop participants free of charge.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Bring your questions! This session is designed as an open conversation, with plenty of time for discussion and advice.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>Conference Registration<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">All RMBAA members who are up-to-date on their membership dues for the 2026 calendar year are eligible to attend the Annual Meeting. Our membership dues also cover conference registration, so please <strong>visit our<\/strong>\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.msudenver.edu\/rmbaa\/about\/membership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">membership page<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to pay your annual dues in order to attend the annual meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>Student Awards!<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">To further the RMBAA mission of supporting student research, we will be awarding a student prize! We will award one each to the\u00a0<strong>top graduate<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>top undergraduate student\u00a0<\/strong>abstracts at this year\u2019s meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong>\u00a0To be eligible, the student must be currently enrolled, must be the first author on the abstract, and must present the research in person at the conference. If you meet these criteria, please indicate your interest in being considered for the award on the abstract submission form.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>Criteria:<\/strong>\u00a0Abstracts will be judged based on the scientific value and quality of the submitted work. In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements, a competitive abstract should:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">\u2013 Clearly describe the concept or problem being tested<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">\u2013 Demonstrate new findings or interpretations that improve our understanding<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">\u2013 Propose new directions based on the research findings<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>Directions &amp; Parking<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><a href=\"https:\/\/map.uccs.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>Dwire Hall<\/strong><\/span><\/a> is located at 9 Mountain Lion Way, Colorado Springs, CO 80918, north of the traffic circle by Meadow Ln and Austin Bluffs Pkwy. Colorado Springs boasts a variety of highly-rated breweries and casual eateries for lunch or post-meeting dining options within a short drive of the meeting venue.
