To my dismay you must have forgotten
\nThat I am nothing but a mere robot,
\nBuilt with red and blue wires and bolts.
\nLook close to my skin and you can see them.
\nTouch me and remember, \u2003 feel the cold that I emit,
\nThen compare it to the warmth of your lover.
\nI\u2019ve heard that it feels like a piece of sunlight,
\nThe one that beams through a crack in the blinds.<\/p>\n
I cannot recall where I had heard it from,
\nPerhaps due to my slow motor and clunky screws,
\nOr the sparking cords in my chest from the time I tried water.
\nI apologize if I take too long to answer, \u2003 it\u2019s hard to think
\nWith this broken clock in my throat,
\nTicking louder and faster with each second.<\/p>\n
