If you find other exciting pages and resources you want to share, please email aoberma1@msudenver.edu<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/antiracistonlinepedagogy.com\/\">Anti-Racist Online Pedagogy: a reading list<\/a><br \/>\nThis document started from a desire to identify and share a variety of resources \u2013 philosophical, sociological, quantitative, qualitative, reflective, and practical \u2013 that can enable educators, specifically white educators, to think critically about their personal and institutional systems, biases, values, and pedagogies with specific attention to the various ways in which racism and White Supremacy are uniquely expressed and perpetuated in the tools, systems, and practices that constitute online teaching and learning. It provides lessons, videos, and up to date information on online teaching. In addition, it <a href=\"https:\/\/cotecommunity.open.suny.edu\/group\/interested\">connects you with others learning online<\/a> in a discussion board where you can ask for help, resources and\/or offer help and resources. This is a free program that is available to anyone and is completely asynchronous. It is not social work specific.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk118453\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"http:\/\/hybridpedagogy.org\/\">Hybrid Pedagogy:<\/a>\u00a0An open access journal of learning, teaching, and technology.<\/p>\n<p>New to online learning:\u00a0<a id=\"LPlnk525239\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/ep.jhu.edu\/faculty\/learning-roadmap-for-new-online-instructors\">Road map to online teaching<\/a>\u00a0by the John Hopkins School of Engineering<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk315267\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"http:\/\/hybridpedagogy.org\/hybridpod\/\">HybridPod:<\/a>\u00a0The HybridPod podcast explores conversations of Critical Digital Pedagogy, listening for ways to empower students and champion learning. It\u2019s hosted by Chris Friend from Saint Leo University. Visit this site to learn more!<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk66498\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facultyfocus.com\/topic\/newsletters\/\">Faculty Focus: Online Teaching:<\/a>\u00a0This is a specific track that Faculty Focus highlights about online teaching.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.educause.edu\/\">EDUCAUSE<\/a>: A nonprofit association and the largest community of technology, academic, industry, and campus leaders advancing higher education through the use of IT.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adl.org\/education\/resources\/tools-and-strategies\/guidelines-for-achieving-bias-free-communication\">Bias Free Communication<\/a>:\u00a0 This article provides concrete examples of how to pay attention to your language and communication in aims of creating a bias free or bias reduced online course.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk780296\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.seanmichaelmorris.com\/\">Sean Michael Morris:<\/a>\u00a0Sean Michael Morris is a founder of the Digital Pedagogy Lab, a conference and community that is radically questioning digital spaces and how we learn and teach within them. His blog is inspirational and helpful when learning about online pedagogy. He is also an MSU alumni! Go Roadrunners!<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk716800\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jessestommel.com\/\">Jesse Stommel:<\/a>\u00a0Founded Hybrid journal and is a innovator in digital pedagogy, especially on the human connections in the digital world and the humane treatment of students. Jesse has been to campus numerous times, most recently for TLTS in 2018.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk140495\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/onlinelearningconsortium.org\/\">Online Learning Consortium:\u00a0<\/a>OLC provides conferences, webinars, and other professional development opportunities.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk628620\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/onlinelearningconsortium.org\/read\/olc-online-learning-journal\/\">Online Learning Journal:<\/a>\u00a0This journal provides case studies and other research where you can get ideas for your classroom!<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk28698\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.facultyfocus.com\/articles\/online-education\/synchronous-online-classes-10-tips-engaging-students\/ Ctrl+Click or tap to follow the link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facultyfocus.com\/articles\/online-education\/synchronous-online-classes-10-tips-engaging-students\/\">10 tips for engaging students in synchronous learning:<\/a>\u00a0These tips are published by\u00a0<a id=\"LPlnk45778\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facultyfocus.com\/\">Faculty Focus<\/a>. Faculty Focus is a great resource for up to date online and educational practices.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk681393\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.insidehighered.com\/news\/news-sections\/online-learning\">Inside Higher Education Online Learning:\u00a0<\/a>Inside Higher Ed provides short articles and news updates on online learning. This will keep you up to date on the state of\u00a0online learning in higher education.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk75284\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tolerance.org\/frameworks\/digital-literacy\">Digital Literacy:\u00a0<\/a>This site is Teaching Tolerance, specifically discussing the importance of digital literacy for students. It is a K-12 website, however it still offers a lot of information pertinent to our students.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk562244\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/excellentonlineteaching.com\/\">Excellent Online Teaching<\/a>: This is a good source for tips on basic online education. It covers discussion boards and other common issues within online teaching.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk767764\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/onlinelearningconsortium.org\/read\/blog\/\">Online Learning Consortium Blog:<\/a>\u00a0A great Blog from different online educators across the globe.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk759936\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"http:\/\/sites.msudenver.edu\/Users\/aoberma1\/OneDrive%20-%20Metropolitan%20State%20University%20of%20Denver%20(MSU%20Denver)\/Online\/BestPracticesinOnlinePedagogyResearchgate.pdf\">Best Practices in Online Pedagogy:<\/a>\u00a0This is an annotated bibliography of many best practices in online pedagogy.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk484113\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/msudenver.edu\/cfe\/\">MSU Center for Teaching, Learning, and Design:<\/a> This is MSU Denver\u2019s teaching center. They offer training for face to face, online, hybrid, and course design. They also have a great teaching library where you can check out books on all different teaching topics. View their website for upcoming training. CTLD also offers the opportunity to record professional videos for your class in the video studio.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"LPlnk227870\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"http:\/\/sites.msudenver.edu\/sips\/\">MSU Strong Instructional Practice:<\/a>\u00a0This is a site created by MSU teachers. It offers little bits of instructional information that can spark a new practice or just reinforce what you are currently doing!
