A note from Katie:
I was emailing with Aaryn at Hill about lesson planning and thought that you all might want a place where you can share the lessons that you are developing to teach online. We don’t all need to invent this same wheel, for goodness sake! I have created a folder where you can upload your ideas, don’t worry about the format, what ever you use yourself. If you have a slide show or some sample images of the outcome, that might be helpful. Try to avoid specialized language or acronyms that your school might use, that others might not know. There are so many lists of resources going around, which is great, but what i’d rather see here is lessons you have actually thought out and are using or will be using in your online classrooms, resources, sure, but also how you use them.
Here is the link to the folder Lesson Sharing via the CVA – please create a new folder in side the main folder for each idea, and add your name to it in case anyone has questions. Anyone you share this link with should be able to add to it, please feel free share widely and please do not alter anyone else’s folders.
Also, I will be creating a weekly Zoom meeting at 4pm on Tuesdays where we can have a virtual conversation about all of this. We’ll call it happy hour, it will be a place where we can discuss what ever needs to be discussed. We can problem solve, brainstorm, celebrate or commiserate, what ever we need to do. Zoom meeting info is below.
Hope to see you soon!
