{"id":111,"date":"2013-02-05T21:18:58","date_gmt":"2013-02-05T21:18:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/theorylovespractice.weebly.com\/blog\/2513"},"modified":"2013-02-05T21:18:58","modified_gmt":"2013-02-05T21:18:58","slug":"2513","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.msudenver.edu\/theorylovespractice\/2013\/02\/05\/2513\/","title":{"rendered":"2\/5\/13"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"paragraph\" style=\"text-align:left\">I am excited to share 3 bits of news with you. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>First<\/strong>, and most importantly, Rachael D is resting and healing from her successful hip surgery. &nbsp;She is excited about all the work we are doing and looking forward to being back in action inspiring us all. &nbsp;She has already walked a little in the hospital and I believe will be going home today!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Second<\/strong>, the exhibition has become increasingly interesting and offers us a bold time and place to share process oriented thinking in arts education! &nbsp;Our exhibition will be MSU Denver&#8217;s contribution to the&nbsp;<strong>Biennial of the Americas<\/strong>. &nbsp;The Biennial has recently undergone significant structural and thematic changes and has incredibly selected &#8220;Process&#8221; for its theme \ud83d\ude42 &nbsp;Given this synchronicity the Center for Visual Art has chosen to extend our exhibition from July 5th through September 21. &nbsp;Given the July 4th festivities we will be celebrating the&nbsp;<strong>opening on July 12th&nbsp;<\/strong>and I will send invitations to you as that date grows nearer. &nbsp;Please make a note of these changes in your schedule.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Third<\/strong>, The Publication<br \/>With the wind in our sales and the brilliant ideas that have been shared at our monthly meetings Anne, Rachael and I have been encouraged to create a catalog for the exhibition. &nbsp;This small publication will include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>An introduction by Arnold Aprill, Founder and Lead Consultant for the Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education<\/li>\n<li>Short articles by Cecily Cullen (Creative Director for the CVA), Anne, Rachael and myself about the nature of TLP, the exhibition and 21st century thinking in arts education.<\/li>\n<li>Most importantly, a single page per artist including imagery of your work and of your work in process as well as a short artist statement defining your question and journey.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>We are looking to create something beautiful and thought provoking. &nbsp;Studio M, an MSU Denver student graphic design firm will be designing the document! &nbsp;We have applied for several grants to support this publication and hope to be able to print a small edition to share with you and perhaps to sell.<br \/><span><\/span><br \/><span><\/span>As the exhibition approaches we have a few deadlines to meet and resources to share. &nbsp;Please, please feel free to continue coming to meetings as your schedule permits and never feel obligated. &nbsp;I will try my best to communicate digitally with anyone who can not make a meeting and to update our website.
