sans-serif\">We finalized our overarching concept for the piece:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\">Teacher&#8217;s classrooms: micro-universe of magic, creativity, relationships<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\">Maintaining the magic universe despite negative forces from outside <span style=\"font-size: 8pt\">(stress of teacher evaluation, administrative busywork, art education undervalued, overworking, overwhelming mental health issues of students)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\">Being connected in a network of support and inspiration.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\"><img emerging<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\">Each shoot is an individual teacher&#8217;s experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\">A dryer vent will be the underlining form of\u00a0 the mother rhizome<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-876\" src=\"http:\/\/sites.msudenver.edu\/theorylovespractice\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/380\/2023\/01\/jbvyscx9k0vc6cu9s4me__92078-1-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\"><strong>Art Media and Process<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\">Each artist creates a teaching experience &#8220;universe&#8221; off of the rhizome root. Their media will stem from the main root and extend out. Visually each artist will cover sections of the dryer duct with the media they are using (paper mache, paint, fabric, etc) where their shoot emerges.\u00a0 This evokes the idea that each artist-teacher functions differently, meandering and finding their own way. All of our meanderings are connected to a common hope that we are enchanting the world and empowering our students. Containers for each individual shoot or &#8220;universe&#8221; will be unified through shape and scale. Anne and Katie are looking for unifying containers that teachers can work in or on. The container will be terrarium-like. Glass?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><strong>Lighting effects<\/strong><\/span> (yes please!)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><strong>Sound<\/strong> <\/span>(recorded whispering about teaching experience. This sound will be projected from speakers that are already in place in the gallery.) Megaphone shapes (paper m\u00e2ch\u00e9 cones?) will imply sound projection, but the actual sound will not be located in them. Tommy Laird! Help us with this!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><strong>Individual &#8220;shoots&#8221; already emerging<\/strong><\/span> from the rhizome (dryer vent):<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\">sad bag catacomb made of used up\/ruined art supplies (bones)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\">airplanes made out of slips of paper from school that excuse and pull a student from art class for a myriad of reasons.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\">old paint brushes woven with wire<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif\">projecting light through sliced wine
