Granting Criteria"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>When making granting decisions, regional coordinators consider the following:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 content\">\n<div class=\"content-inner\">\n<h4>Access<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Access\u00a0<\/strong>that the proposed project will offer to geographic areas and populations not currently served by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.loc.gov\/programs\/teachers\/about-this-program\/teaching-with-primary-sources-partner-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TPS Consortium members<\/a>;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Acceptable<\/strong>:\u00a0<\/em>The project reaches an educational population not served by an existing Consortium member.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Exemplary:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>The project has the potential to educational materials to a critical mass of educators and learners within a specified area. The proposed project reaches educational populations that have not been targeted by the TPS program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 content\">\n<div class=\"content-inner\">\n<h4>Scope<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Scope\u00a0<\/strong>of the proposed workshop or course and its likely success in helping educators achieve TPS learning objectives;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Acceptable:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>The proposed project delivers a portion of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loc.gov\/programs\/teachers\/about-this-program\/teaching-with-primary-sources-partner-program\/tps-consortium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TPS program objectives<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Exemplary:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>The proposed project delivers all of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loc.gov\/programs\/teachers\/about-this-program\/teaching-with-primary-sources-partner-program\/tps-consortium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TPS program objectives<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 content\">\n<div class=\"content-inner\">\n<h4>Activities and Partnerships<\/h4>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Professional development activities<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>partnerships<\/strong>\u00a0of the proposing organization;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Acceptable:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>The organization has an established PD or education program for teachers and\/or learners that will integrate TPS content.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Exemplary:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>Collaboration with one or more organizations is evident and used to reach project goals and objectives. Partners may include: school districts, colleges, universities, libraries, historical societies, professional organizations, or other educational organizations. When possible, partnerships include high level administrators from key agencies throughout the state.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 content\">\n<div class=\"content-inner\">\n<h4>Sustainability<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Sustainability\u00a0<\/strong>of a grantee\u2019s use of TPS content within their educational programs for educators and learners;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Acceptable:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>The project aligns with existing organizational objectives and is integrated into ongoing educational programming.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Exemplary:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>The proposed project includes plans for the integration of TPS into current and future activities, such as curricula or other ongoing educational opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 content\">\n<div class=\"content-inner\">\n<h4>Project Plan<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Project plan<\/strong>\u00a0describes sound planning, recruitment, implementation, evaluation and resource allocation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The project staff has the capacity to implement the proposed project successfully.<\/li>\n<li>The application includes a reasonable plan to recruit participants.<\/li>\n<li>The plan narrative includes a reasonable evaluation plan.<\/li>\n<li>The proposed project has a realistic budget and justification.<\/li>\n<li>Information provided by the organization regarding its partnerships and activities is supported by appropriate documentation, such as letters, reports, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"su-button-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.msudenver.edu\/tpswesternregion\/apply-for-a-grant\/4-award-requirements\/\" class=\"su-button su-button-style-default\" style=\"color:#ffffff;background-color:#ff3c0d;border-color:#cc300b;border-radius:10px\" target=\"_self\"><span style=\"color:#ffffff;padding:8px 26px;font-size:20px;line-height:30px;border-color:#ff7756;border-radius:10px;text-shadow:px px 0px #ffffff\"><i class=\"sui sui-arrow-circle-right\" style=\"font-size:20px;color:#000000\"><\/i> Proceed to Award Requirements<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When making granting decisions, regional coordinators consider the following: Access Access\u00a0that the proposed project will offer to geographic areas and populations not currently served by\u00a0TPS Consortium members; Acceptable:\u00a0The project reaches an educational population not served by an existing Consortium member.
