Today we spent some time checking out work in the gallery. Two of the pieces are pictured above. In Lak’ech has artists from California and Colorado. The artists identify as Chicano or address immigration, cultural difference and equality in their work. Some of it was really hard to look at because it showed so much pain but the stories about the border and within the U.S. are important to tell.
