Students ran participants in a study examining the impact of a brief values intervention on approach behaviors in a spider-related behavioral approach task.

We also worked on writing manuscripts for possible publication on 1) cognitive fusion (holding on tightly to one’s thought), weight-related stigma and healthcare avoidance among women with obesity, 2) psychological flexibility, weight-related stigma, and well-being among college students with overweight and obesity, 3) psychological flexibility, discrimination, and suicidality, and 4) the impact of a brief values intervention on approach behaviors in a spider-related behavioral approach task.

Lucia and I also worked on a poster presentation.

Vallez*, L., & Flynn, M. K. (2022, June). Psychological flexibility adds to the prediction of suicidality among transgender and non-binary adults. Poster presented at the annual meeting of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, San Francisco, CA.
