Come join the Social Work department for a summer course design institute June 14-25, 2021!
Bring a course that needs a full development, or one that you would like to redesign, and we will workshop it together during this intensive, two-week institute. You’ll meet with a small cohort of 6-8 social work faculty members, and will spend the morning from 9-11 in an interactive workshop learning about course design, and pedagogy practices. We’ll share ideas related to course organization and structure, equity in course design and assessment, and pedagogical best practices to build community and develop relationships in an online course!
The afternoons will be spent working 1:1 with Becky, in small groups with other faculty, or on your own to meet your individualized course design goals. You should expect to spend about 80 hours working on your class during these two weeks, but you will come out with a fully developed course ready for instructors for Fall 2021 or Spring 2022!
