MSU Denver offers many different supports for online teachers!
** Please contact Becky Cottrell at [email protected] first for all online teaching and design questions as she is our social work resident expert.
See below for just a few of the ways the University offers their support to online learning and student success.
MSU Center for Teaching Learning and Design: The CTLD offers support for teachers in the classroom, those moving online or those that have years of online teaching experience. Please check their website ongoing for a schedule of training for Canvas and self help tutorials support. They also offer faculty learning communities on many different topics.
Canvas: Canvas is our Learning Management System (LMS) that has replaced Blackboard. Refer to the Help icon in your Canvas courses to connect by phone or chat with Canvas experts 24/7. The whole nation is going online, so the wait may be a while, but it is worth it, they are super helpful. You can also visit the READY website for Canvas trainings as part of the ACT 20 process.
MSU also offers ACUE training, Professional Development, Tri-institutional Teaching Forum and the Learning with Technology Symposium. Check the CTLD website for schedules of these activities.
