Financial aid can cause a lot of stress and confusion. Below we want to go over the financial aid timeline to help ease any concern about the process. These dates are roughly the same each year, though it is always worth checking the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships – MSU Denver for specific dates.

Health Insurance Requirement
For students taking 9 or more credits during the Fall or Spring Semester, there is a Domestic Health Insurance Requirement and International Health Insurance Requirement. To meet this requirement, students taking 9 or more credits are automatically enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan.
Students who are enrolling in 9 or more credits for Fall or Spring Semester and have compliant health insurance can elect to opt-out of MSU Denver Student Health Insurance (SHIP) by submitting a waiver each Fall and Spring semester.
