One common reason students begin college is to obtain a quality career path with their degree. This is a goal MSU Denver has of its students as well. It is important to engage with career development opportunities while enrolled in college. Ideally, that eases the transition after graduation and into the career. In this module, we’ll provide information related to student employment, career development opportunities, and the Classroom to Career Hub.
Module Objectives
- Identify how academic expectations and tools are provided by faculty including syllabi, grading structures, readings, and assignments.
- Identify various academic resources and skill sets including the writing Center, Tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, and notetaking and reading strategies.
- Identify time management strategies to help support students in balancing academic and personal responsibilities.
- Compare and contrast academic expectations in high school and college.
