Student Belonging

Finding your place on campus can be difficult to navigate. MSU Denver provides students with several resources and services to help students build a sense of belonging on and off campus. Being a part of a community on campus helps students find their identity and connects students with like-minded peers. There are several ways to build community with fellow students at MSU Denver such as joining a club, organization, or sports team. MSU Denver also offers several resources and supports for students on campus.

The Center of Multicultural Engagement and Inclusion (CMEI)

The Center of Multicultural Engagement and Inclusion (CMEI) supports students’ sense of belonging in college and affirms their identities by building community through participation in student organizations (currently over 85 options), First-Generation Initiatives, Met Media, fraternities and sororities (currently ten), racial equity and leadership programs, student travel and professional development funding, student gathering spaces, and campus events.

Looking for a place to build community and connections at MSU Denver? The Student Gathering Space in the Jordan Student Success Building Room 237 and Resource Room in Tivoli 305 are spaces for you to build community and access the many resources MSU Denver has to offer including: mentorship programs, student organization resources, and leadership opportunities. It is also a great place to meet new friends and find out more about our cultural programming, community building activities, and campus partnerships.
