MSU Denver is a commuter campus. This means that students live off-campus, in Denver and the surrounding areas, and need to travel here to attend classes. This page describes different ways you can get to and move around campus.
Public Transportation
The RTD offers bus, rail, and light rail transit services in the Denver Metro area. All RTD buses are accessible to mobility aids like wheelchairs. You can refer to the RTD website to learn more about bus service and rail service.
RTD Passes are available for free to MSU Denver students; learn more on the RTD CollegePass FAQ page.
Campus Parking
Some students choose to drive to school and park on the Auraria Campus. Numerous garages and parking lots are available. The Auraria Campus Parking Map shows all of your options.
All on-campus parking options require payment. You can pay by the hour or purchase a parking pass. Be sure to register your vehicle using your campus ID to avoid paying a much more expensive rate. Refer to the AHEC Parking & Transportation Services page to learn more about parking.
After Hours Transport
The Campus NightRider Service is a shuttle that can safely transport you from any campus building to any Auraria parking lot. It is available from dusk (when it gets dark out) to 10:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, during the Fall and Spring semesters. Call (303) 556-2001 to schedule a ride.
If the Campus NightRider Service is not available, you can call the Campus Police at (303) 556-5000 to be escorted to your car.
