Requirements  for admission to the VPA Veterinary Professional Associate Program -Master of Science in Veterinary Clinical Care (MSB-VCC) at Colorado State University

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required.
  2. A minimum of 150 veterinary experience hours are required.
  3. The following prerequisites are required with a grade of C- or above and preference is given to those students who choose the more difficult courses (e.g. CHE 1800 rather than CHE 1100).

Written Communication ENG 1010 Composing Arguments 3 credits
Mathematics One of these choices: MTH 1109 OR MTH 1110 OR MTH 1111 OR MTH 1112 OR MTH 1115 College Algebra for Calculus or Thru Modeling 4 credits
MTH 1210 Intro to Statistics 4 credits
Biology BIO 1080 AND BIO 1090 General Biology I with Lab 4 credits
One of these choices:

1-BIO 2310 AND BIO 2320; OR

2-BIO 3220*AND  BIO 3320*OR BIO 3360*

1- Human Anatomy and Physiology I AND II; OR

2-Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy AND Advanced Human Physiology OR Animal Physiology

8-9 credits
BIO 2400* General Microbiology 5 credits
BIO 3600* or 3610* Genetics 4 credits
Chemistry One of these choices: CHE 1100 OR CHE 1800 Principles of Chemistry OR General Chemistry I 4 credits
One of these choices: CHE 2100 OR CHE 3100* Introduction to Organic and Biological Chemistry OR Organic Chemistry I 4 credits
Physics One  of these choices:

1-PHY 1000;

OR

2- PHY 2010*

1-Physics of Nature; OR

2-College Physics 1

4-5 credits
